LEGAL EXPERIENCE:
Ms. Aportadera-Torres practices primarily in the area of long term care. Her practice focuses on the defense of healthcare professionals, skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities and assisted living facilities against claims of elder abuse, professional negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, wrongful death, statutory violations, fraud and unfair business practices.
Ms. Aportadera-Torres also has experience as an associate at a plaintiff’s firm, where she was involved in all aspects of civil litigation. Prior to that, she worked as a corporate attorney in Manila and clerked at the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
